This is a new recipe but wow I think it is yummy

Recipe Ingredients for Beef Barley Stew

2 pounds beef sirloin
1 pound fresh mushrooms
1 white onion
3 medium carrots
3 medium white potatoes
2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 cup pearl barley
4 cups water
2 tablespoons chili powder
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon dry basil
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon corn starch

Recipe Directions for Beef Barley Stew

In large pot start cooking the onions in the oil, when they start getting transluscent add the carrots, potatoes and all the seasonings, let cook about 5 minutes then add the meat. Put lid on and let that cook about 10 minutes. Take the barley and soak in cool water for about 5 minutes and drain. Add barley, garlic and water to pot and bring to a boil, simmer for 45 minutes. Mix the corn starch and rest of water until mixed and add a little at a time just to thicken. Let simmer 15 minutes.
