Recipe Ingredients for beef and barley soup

16 oz lean beef
1 cup turnip
1 cup carrots
1 cup butternut squash
1 cup yams
4 small white potatoes
90 oz tomatoes
1 large onion
1 leek
2 cup barley
1 cup celery

Recipe Directions for beef and barley soup

  1. cook beef and onions in the tomatoes and about 2 cuts of water.

  2. add 1 tbs salt

  3. add 2 tbs pepper

  4. 2 tbs of fresh thyme

  5. cook for about 1 hour

  6. then add vegetables and potatoes

  7. bring to boil

  8. add about 2 cups of barley

  9. cook on low heat and keep stirring for about 45 mins.
