An old standby. Use 12oz O'Douls instead of 6oz regular beer.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef Barley Soup

0.93 lb beef
170 g onions
90 g carrots
160 g celery
25 g dried mushrooms
1/4 c barley
6 oz beer
1 small apple
3 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 pepper, & bay

Recipe Directions for Beef Barley Soup

  1. Brown beef.

  2. Chop vegetables.

  3. Sautee vegetables.

  4. Add beef, mushrooms, bay leaf and water.

  5. When it comes to a boil, add barley.

  6. Simmer for about one hour.
