Recipe Ingredients for Beef and Barley soup

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup onion
1 garlic clove
2/3 cup barley
4 medium carrots
28 oz tomatoes
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
4 cups tomato juice
1 red pepper

Recipe Directions for Beef and Barley soup

Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in skillet; drain well. Add barley and remaining ingredients. Cover and boil/simmer -- make sure barley is done. Serves 6.
