Recipe Ingredients for Bechamel Sauce

2 tbsp Butter
1/8 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
1 1/4 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
4 dash Pepper, Black
4 dash Salt, Table
1 tsp Nutmeg, Ground

Recipe Directions for Bechamel Sauce

  1. Heat butter.

  2. Add flour + nutmeg, and whisk for a few minutes.

  3. Add hot milk. Stir.

  4. Cook 2-3 minutes until thickened.

  5. Add salt + pepper to taste. Recipe uses 4 dashes salt.
