Recipe Ingredients for Beans

1 1/2 cups pinto beans
6 cups water
15 grams chilies
1 cup onion
3 cloves garlic
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Beans

  1. Soak the beans for several hours in cold water.

  2. Drain beans, cover with water

  3. Add chopped onion, garlic and whole dried chili peppers

  4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer with lid partly ajar.

  5. When tender add the salt.
