Recipe Ingredients for Beans

32 oz dry pinto beans
4 serving Kroger Recipe Beginnings 3 pepper & onion blend
3 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Beans

  1. Rinse beans and make sure there are no rocks.

  2. Put beans in crock pot with enough water to cover and half of your salt.

  3. Soak on low for 2-3 hours.

  4. Drain and rinse.

  5. Place beans back in crock pot with enough water to cover and the other half of the salt.

  6. Add seasonings to taste (garlic, chili powder, cumin etc).

  7. Cook on low overnight or high until soft, periodically verify there is still enough water to cover beans.

  8. Add veggies about 1/2-2/3 way through the cooking.

  9. Strain the excess liquid
