Recipe Ingredients for beans italiano

3 1/4 cup dry navy beans
2 leaf, bay dried
2 onion, medium minced
1 garlic clove, mashed
2 tbsp. parsley, finely chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup cooking oil
2 cups tomato
1 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup cheese, parmesean grated
1 salt to taste
1 pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for beans italiano

soak beans overnight. put beans and liquid into saucepan. add more water if needed to cover. add bay leaf, onion, garlic, parsley. boil until beans are tender but not soft. about 1 hour. cook tomato and celery in hot oil until tender. pour over beans and turn mixture into casserole. cover and bake at 275 for 2 hours. uncover and sprinkle with grated cheese. bake until cheese browns.
