Stew/Soup with Kidney Beans, Lima Beans, and Black Eyed Peas (since CC would not let me enter black eyed peas I put in an extra cup of kidney beans)

Recipe Ingredients for Bean Stew

2 1/4 cups kidney beans
1 cup lima beans
1 1/4 cups vegetable broth
3/10 cups splenda, brown sugar
1/4 cup green onion
1/2 cups green bell pepper
2 tbsp cornstarch
10 cups water
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp lemon pepper
1/2 tbsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Bean Stew

  1. Thoroughly wash beans

  2. Soak beans overnight

  3. Drain beans

  4. Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup cold water and set aside

  5. Mix vegetable broth, beans, bell pepper, and spices and 4 cups water

  6. Bring bean mixture to a quick boil

  7. Slowly stir for at least 1 minute

  8. Turn heat down and let bean mixture simmer for 1.5 hours

  9. At the end of time, add splenda (brown sugar splenda) and stir for 1 minute

  10. Stir in cornstarch
