Recipe Ingredients for Bean Soup My Version of Lysanders

4 1/2 cups cooked navy beans
3 cups cooked cranberry beans
400 g potato
1/2 cup carrots
3/4 cup onion
1/4 cup canola oil
3 cups water
1 tbl salt

Recipe Directions for Bean Soup My Version of Lysanders

Thoroughly Rinse dry beans 1.5 cup northern (navy) and 1 cup cranberry. Soak for 4 hours. Rinse. Place in Crockpot with approximately 4 quarts of water. Set on high for 4 hours. Add seasoning packet, .75 cup of chopped onion. If you can, wait to add potato chunks and carrot slices so that they don't overcook. Make a thickener out of 2 tbls white flour and water mix thoroughly with soup broth. Check beans for tenderness...it usually takes 6 hours in the crockpot...on high.
