Healthy vegan, compatible with a macrobiotic diet

Recipe Ingredients for Bean and mushroom brown rice

1 cup brown rice
1 cup brown basmati rice
8 cups water
2 tbsp marjoram
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 cups green cabbage, chopped
1 leek, chopped
2 cups carrots, chopped
1 cup mushrooms
1 cup black beans

Recipe Directions for Bean and mushroom brown rice

Boil water ; add a bay leaf and the marjoram. Once boiling add rice and vegetables. Simmer slowly for one hour. Serve with more fresh marjoram, lemon and tamari. (Those on a macrobiotic diet should not use the lemon.)
