Easy soup, with canned beans and ham.

Recipe Ingredients for Bean with ham soup

3/4 cup diced onion
3/4 cup diced celery
3/4 cup diced carrot
1 tbls minced garlic
4 oz ham
15 oz white beans
4 cups chicken stock, fat free
2 cups water
1/3 cup tomato sauce
2 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Bean with ham soup

  1. Finely dice onion, celery, and carrot

  2. Saute onion, celery, carrot, and garlic in 1 tbls olive oil until tender (onion is translucent)

  3. Add ham, chicken stock, water, and tomato sauce and bring to a simmer

  4. then add beans and bring back to a simmer until the beans are tender

  5. continue to simmer for 30 minutes or so (to blend flavors)

  6. Before serving, season with salt and pepper to taste
