Tasty low fat and nutritious burgers, can have for lunch or dinner. Very filling.

Recipe Ingredients for bean burgers

1 tbsp chopped Onions
240 grams Beans, Kidney, Red, Mature Seeds, Canned
240 grams Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans, Bengal Gram), Mature Seeds
0.5 cup cut Corn, Sweet, Yellow
1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Red
20 grams Flour
1 medium Egg, Whole
3 grams Oregano
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Coriander Seed

Recipe Directions for bean burgers

  1. Finely chop onion & garlic, fry until translucent.

  2. Finely chop 1 red pepper, fry until soft.

  3. Put the corn, chickpeas and kidney beans in a food processor (or mash together using a fork or masher).

  4. Add herbs to mix.

  5. Add onion, garlic and pepper.

  6. Mix well then add flour until you get the right consistency to make patties. You can add the egg or leave it out.

  7. Fry in oil or grill.
