Bean Burgers Recipe

Vegetarian kidney bean burgers - normally also add herbs (not included in this)

Recipe Ingredients for Bean burgers

400 g cooked kidney beans
1 medium onion
1/2 medium carrot
1 slice brown bread
50 g plain flour
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Bean burgers

  1. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot, then fry in oil until soft.

  2. Drain and mash a tin of kidney beans. Add the onion and carrot and an egg.

  3. Grate a slice of bread to make breadcrumbs and add to the mixture.

  4. Mix together and add flour (exact amount is an approximation - add until the mixure is of a suitable consistancy).

  5. Make the mixture into balls then cook.
