From Magic Menu recipe book. Included balanced meal with whole wheat roll/bun 1 cup green beans with 1 Tablspoon reduced calorie margarine. and two Breakfast in a cookie cookies.

Recipe Ingredients for Bean Burgers

16 oz can black beans
2 cups cooked brown rice
2 tbsp ketchup
1/4 chopped onion

Recipe Directions for Bean Burgers

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl mash with fork or potato masher.

  2. Divide into 8 burgers, making patties about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. May need water on hands to keep them from sticking to mixture.

  4. Spray skillet with cooking spray.

  5. Cook burgers over medium heat until browned on both sides.
