BBQ beans with a kick. Replace blackeye peas for the lima beans. Blackeye peas aren't in database, but equivalent calories.

Recipe Ingredients for BBQ Mixed Beans

1/2 cup lima beans (black eye peas)
1/2 cup kidney beans
1/4 cup onion
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tbsp splenda
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp sesame seed
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup vegetable broth

Recipe Directions for BBQ Mixed Beans

  1. Mix cornstarch with 1.5 tbsp col dwater and set aside

  2. Wash beans

  3. Soak beans overnight

  4. Filter beans

  5. Add vegetable broth

  6. Add other ingredients

  7. Bring to boil

  8. Lower heat and simmer 45 minutes

  9. Add Splenda

  10. Bring to boil

  11. Add cornstarch/water mix and turn down heat to simmer

  12. Stir in cornstarch

  13. Eat up. It's good!
