Bavarian Cream Recipe

Recipe Ingredients for BAVARIAN CREAM

2 eggs
2 egg yolks
1/3 c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch
2 c. milk (can sub. part half-and-half, if desired)
1 T. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Recipe Directions for BAVARIAN CREAM

  1. Whisk together first 4 ingredients (or use hand blender) in a 3-quart saucepan. Gradually whisk (hand blend) in milk.

  2. Cook over medium heat whisking constantly, until mixture come to a boil. Whisk one min. longer or until mixture is thickened and bubbly.

  3. Remove from heat; whisk in butter and vanilla. Cover and chill.
