Basil and Lime added to a simple syrup gives this fruit salad a twist.

Recipe Ingredients for Basil Lime Fruit Salad

4 cup Pineapple
2 cups Blueberries
2 cups strawberries
1 1/2 cups peaches
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp basil
1 tsp lime juice

Recipe Directions for Basil Lime Fruit Salad

  1. 1. Cut all fruit and place in a bowl.

  2. 2. Combine water and sugar in small pan bring to a boil stirring occiasionaly so to not burn sugar.

  3. 3. Once boiling, remove from heat and add basil and lime juice/peel.

  4. 4. Let syrup cool, pass through strainer to filter our peel and basil leaves.

  5. 5. Pour syrup over fruit and mix.

  6. 6. Keeps in fridge for about 6 days.
