These chicken rolls are flavored with ham, basil, garlic and lemon and you can serve this tasty chicken recipe with rice or potatoes.

Recipe Ingredients for Basil and Ham Stuffed Chicken Breast

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast (8 halves)
4 slices deli ham
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika

Recipe Directions for Basil and Ham Stuffed Chicken Breast

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Combine the garlic, salt, pepper, and basil and set aside.

  3. Place the chicken between sheets of plastic film and pound to inch thickness with the flat end of a meat tenderizer hammer.

  4. Rub the basil mixture into each chicken breast and top each one with a slice of deli ham.

  5. Roll the chicken breasts up, starting with the longest side.

  6. Place the chicken rolls seam side down in a baking dish and drizzle with the lemon juice.

  7. Sprinkle the paprika over the top.

  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

  9. Cool for 5 minutes then slice each chicken roll into four equal size pieces and serve.
