Adjust water as needed to get thickness you desire. Can also substitute water for milk to have totally vegan meal. Sweeten and give flavor by adding fruit, nuts, jellies, etc.

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Winter Breakfast

1/2 cup instant oatmeal, dry
2 T farina, unenriched, dry
2 T wheat bran, raw
1/2 cup 1% milk
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Basic Winter Breakfast

  1. Mix all ingredients together in microwave safe bowl, including any flavoring additions.

  2. Microwave for ~4 minutes on high.

  3. Stir then microwave again until done to desired consistency.
