Makes light and fluffy waffles. Easily halves and doubles as a recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Waffles

4 cups flour
4 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs

Recipe Directions for Basic Waffles

  1. Place ingredients in large mixing bowl and combine well.

  2. Let batter rest for 5 minutes. While resting, pre-heat waffle iron to 2-4.

  3. When iron is ready, pour 1 1/2 cups batter into center of iron .

  4. Close lid until cooked.

  5. Remove from pan and cut into 4.
