Recipe Ingredients for Basic Waffles (Cuisinart)

6 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
5 cups skim milk
1/4 cup skim milk
1 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 large eggs

Recipe Directions for Basic Waffles (Cuisinart)

  1. Place ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine until well blended and smooth. Let batter rest 5 minutes before using. Preheat your Cusinart Waffle Iron on setting #3.

  2. When preheated, green indicator light will illuminate. Pour 2 cups batter evenly over the lower-grid; spread batter using heat-proof spatula to within 1/2 inch of the edge of the grid. Close lid of waffle iron-green indicator light will turn on again, waffle is ready. Open lid and carfully remove baked waffle. Repeat with remaining batter. For best results, serve immediately.
