Recipe Ingredients for Basic Vegan Waffle

1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup frozen blueberries

Recipe Directions for Basic Vegan Waffle

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl with any "mix-ins" (berries, or chocolate chips). Mix the wet ingredients in a different bowl. Combine and mix until just mixed up.

  2. Preheat waffle iron and spray with some nonstick oil.

  3. Cook according to the waffle makers instructions, which usually means putting about 1/4 cup batter on the iron, closing, and waiting for a light to go out.
