This is the basic soup for the soup diet from Good Housekeeping. With olive oil as I make it, it is 93 calories for a two-cup serving. Make it in a nonstick pan, and the calorie count drops to 84 calories a serving. Lots of good vitamins too. Mix it up: variations so you don't get sick of it. Don't forget to log the extra ingredients! 1) (Asian Chicken) To 2 - 3 cups basic soup, add 3 oz skinless chiken breast, chopped or shredded; 3 Tbls rice or barley, 1 tsp soy sauce, and 1/4 tsp thyme.
