Makes 12 servings



Add nuts, fruit, chives, ham & cheese, whatever you want. If you add cheese, ham, chives, etc remove sugar and cinnamon.

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Scone

8 oz (225 g) of whole wheat flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tbsp canola oil
1/3 cup almond breeze, unsweetened
1/4 cup sugar blend
1 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Basic Scone

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F. Spray a baking tray or line with parchment paper.

  2. Mix the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, cinnamon, and sugar and sift them into a bowl.

  3. Pour the oil into the flour and gradually add the almond breeze till you make a soft dough.

  4. Next, roll out the dough onto a floured surface. Make it 1 inch thick, and cut the dough into 2 inche rounds.

  5. Place the cut dough on baking sheet and bake the at 450 F for about 10 minutes or until golden brown
