Recipe Ingredients for Basic Sandwich Bread

1 serving Bread Flour A r589876
1 large Egg, Whole
1 large Egg, Whole
3 tbsp Canola Oil
131 grams Bread Flour A r589876
0.5 tbsp Xanthan Gum
1 tsp Salt, Table
0.5 envelope Gelatine
6 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1 package Leavening agents, yeast, baker's, active dry
1.25 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid

Recipe Directions for Basic Sandwich Bread

  1. Lightly grease and flour 8.5x4.5 inch loaf pan.

  2. Mix eggs and oil and set aside.

  3. Mix all dry ingredients in a large mixer bowl.

  4. Add warmed milk (100 degrees) and egg/oil mix and beat to blend.

  5. Scrape bowl and beat at high speed for 3 minutes.

  6. Pour into loaf pans and set in warm place for 30 minutes. It should rise to within 1/2 inch of the top of the pan.

  7. Place rack in center. Preheat to 400 F. Do not use convection oven.

  8. Bake bread in center for 10 minutes, cover with aluminum foil and bake another 40-45 minutes.

  9. Remove bread and turn onto rack to cool.
