Use this basic roll dough for rolls or to roll out for pizza or spinach pies

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Roll Dough

2 c all purpose flour
2 tbs butter
10 tbs 2% milk
2 tbs Splenda
1/2 tsp active dry yeast
1/4 tsp salt
2 sprays Pam

Recipe Directions for Basic Roll Dough

  1. Put flour into plastic bowl. Reserve 1/3 cup for later.

  2. Add the rest of the dry ingredients. Stir dry ingredients together.

  3. Put 2 tbs butter in measuring cup and add milk to make 3/4 cups total.

  4. Microwave 1 minute or until butter is melted.

  5. Pour over dry ingedients and stir with plastic spoon.

  6. Add reserved flour as necessary to knead into a smooth dough, making sure to pick up all flour from bowl.

  7. Remove dough and Spray bowl with Pam.

  8. Replace dough and spray with Pam.

  9. Cover with plastic sheet and let rise in warm place.

  10. Once doubled, form or roll as necessary and allow to rise a second time.

  11. Bake 10 - 12 minutes for rolls
