Recipe for a basic risotto- add bacon, mushrooms, or whatever you like!

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Risotto

1 tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 c. arborio rice
4 c. chicken broth, simmering
3/4 c. dry white wine
1 onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 c. shredded parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. butter

Recipe Directions for Basic Risotto

  1. Fry onion and garlic in olive oil til tender. Add rice and cook until transparent. Add wine and cook until it evaporates.

  2. Stir in ladels-ful of broth bit by bit, adding more as broth is incorporated. Repeat until rice is firm-tender.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter and parmesan.
