This is a fast, simple meal that works well with salad and wine.

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Pasta with Broccoli in Wine Reduction

8 oz. pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
1 chopped onion
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup white wine
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
4 oz. fresh grated parmesan cheese
2 cups broccoli
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp dried oregano

Recipe Directions for Basic Pasta with Broccoli in Wine Reduction

  1. prepare pasta aldente, set aside

  2. steam broccoli until just tender, set aside

  3. In a pan, heat olive oil with chopped onion and garlic

  4. when onion starts to darken, add 1 cup white wine

  5. Simmer and Let wine reduce to 1/4 the liquid

  6. add spices, pasta, and brocolli

  7. toss together for 5 min.

  8. serve with grated parmesan cheese on top
