Oatmeal with blueberries, brown sugar, lemon zest

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Oatmeal with blueberries and lemon zest

1 1/4 cup water
50 grams Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
1/8 tsp Kosher Salt
5 grams Light Brown Sugar
45 grams Blueberries
1 tbsp nonfat yogurt
1 gram lemon zest

Recipe Directions for Basic Oatmeal with blueberries and lemon zest

  1. 1) Combine oats, salt, water, and a dash of cinnamon (optional).

  2. 2) Put over heat until boiling, then lower heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 4 minutes or until oats are soft.

  3. 3) Microwave blueberries, if frozen, for about 20 seconds.

  4. 4) Top cooked oatmeal with blueberries, yogurt, brown sugar, and freshly grated lemon zest.
