Recipe Ingredients for Basic no-knead bread

2 1/5 cups flour, unbleached white
1/2 cup flour, stone ground whole wheat
1/2 cup flour, stone ground whole rye
1/2 cup flax seed, grournd
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp yeast, granulated
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 cups water

Recipe Directions for Basic no-knead bread

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add sugar, salt, olive oil.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, measure white flour and whole wheat flour. Stir. Add liquid and stir to combine well. Let rise 1-2 hours.

  3. Form a loaf. Sprinkle flour on the outside. Let rise again 1-2 hours (either on a pizza peel OR in an oblong loaf pan. Bake at 450 F for 30 minutes.
