This is the basic recipe for mexican sauce, to be served over steak, quesadillas, or pretty much any main dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Basic mexican salsa

1 large tomato
1/4 small onion
1 jalapeno pepper
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp olive oil
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Basic mexican salsa

Blend all ingredients except oil. Heat olive oil (medium heat). Bring salsa to a boil and simmer for about five minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
