A tasty introduction to a nourishing legume.

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Lentil Soup

2 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
1 medium Onions
2 cloves, raw Garlic
2 medium stalk, raw Celery
2 medium Carrots
1.25 cup Red Lentils
4 serving Vegetable Bouillon
2 tsp All-Purpose Seasoning
2 leaves Bay Leaves
6 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Basic Lentil Soup

  1. Cook onion, garlic, celery and carrots first in large soup pot.

  2. Add 6 cups of water and remaining ingredients.

  3. Bring to a simmer and let simmer until lentils and vegetables are tender. 30-40 minutes.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Let sit off of heat for 1 hour if time allows.

  6. Reheat before serving and remove bay leaves.
