its a basic italian sauce that will be healtier than your regulat bottled ragu, you can add chicken or meatballs, etc. very versatil

Recipe Ingredients for basic italian sauce

1 cup diced onion
2 cup sliced mushroom
15 oz can diced tomatoes
15 oz can tomato sauce
3 clove garlic
2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoon italian seasoning
1/2 cup diced green pepper

Recipe Directions for basic italian sauce

sautee onions, peppers and mushroom with garlic and olive oil. add salt and italian seasoing. when all veggies are soft, add canned tomatoe sauce and diced tomatoes. add a pinch of sugar and let simmer for +/-15 min.
