A basic recipe that can be altered - spices, thickness, etc.

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Hummus

15 oz. can chickpeas
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp pepper
1 dash salt
1/2 tsp cumin
1 clove garlic, crushed

Recipe Directions for Basic Hummus

  1. Drain chickpeas, reserve liquid

  2. Add ingredients in order given to blender or food processor

  3. Add 2 tbsp. reserved liquid

  4. Blend until smooth

  5. Add more liquid to get the consistency you like.
