Basic Home-made Pizza - add toppings separately, this only includes crust/sauce/cheese

Recipe Ingredients for Basic Home-made Pizza (crust/sauce/cheese)

1 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp Yeast
1 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2/3 cup water
2 teaspoons Minced Garlic
3 tablespoons oil
3/4 cup pizza sauce
6 ounces shredded mozzarella

Recipe Directions for Basic Home-made Pizza (crust/sauce/cheese)

  1. Combine 1 cup flour, undissolved yeast, sugar, salt and Parmesan cheese a large bowl.

  2. Combine very warm water (120-130 degrees), garlic and oil; add to flour mixture.

  3. Mix until well blended, about 1 minute.

  4. Gradually add remaining flour to make a soft dough.

  5. Dough should form a ball and will be slightly sticky. Knead** on a floured surface, adding additional flour if necessary, until smooth and elastic, about 4 minutes.

  6. Pat dough with floured hands to fill greased pizza pan or baking sheet. OR roll dough on a floured counter to 12-inch circle; place in greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Form a rim by pinching the edge of the dough.

  7. Spread with pizza sauce. Top with desired toppings (not included in recipe or calories) and sprinkle with cheese.

  8. Bake on lowest oven rack for 12 to 15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and crust is browned.
