Recipe Ingredients for Basic Granola Recipe

4 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup walnut, chopped
1/2 cup wheat bran
1 cup sweetened coconut, shredded
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
6 tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup liquid honey
1 cup Brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup Canola oil
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Recipe Directions for Basic Granola Recipe

  1. Put first 7 ingredients in a large bowl.

  2. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over top and then mix thoroughly.

  3. Heat oil and 1/2 brown sugar in microwave for 1 minute, then mix into bowl.

  4. Add liquid honey and mix thoroughly.

  5. Add remaining brown sugar and mix with hands until evenly distributed.

  6. Spread on cookie sheets and bake at 350 for 20 minutes, stirring and mixing every 5 minutes.

  7. *Can substitute 1/2 cup of Peanuts or sesame seeds for walnuts for a different flavour.
