Recipe Ingredients for Basic French bread dough

1 t dry yeast
2 c water
5 c flour
2 t salt
1 t baking powder (add to dough later)

Recipe Directions for Basic French bread dough

  1. place ingredients in order into the bread machine and process as dough.

  2. divide dough in to 4 parts and shape into a long stick shape.

  3. let rise for another 30min- 1hour in parchment paper

  4. transfer to preheated oven

  5. Bake @ 450 degrees for 15 mins reduce heat to 390 degrees for 10 mins.
