My first attempt at Hummus - turned out great!

Recipe Ingredients for Basic, easy hummus

2/3 cup dried chickpeas (yield 2 cups cooked)
4 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lime juice
1/6 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 red bell pepper
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup onion
1 tsp cumin, dried
1 tsp white pepper

Recipe Directions for Basic, easy hummus

  1. Cook 2/3 dry chickpeas (yield: 2 cups cooked) and reserve

  2. Cut red bell pepper in slices and broil with onion and garlic until soft. Should be lightly coated in olive oil.

  3. Add to food processor: pumpkin seeds, olive oil, lime juice, cumin and white pepper. Pulse until as smooth as possible.

  4. Add to food processor: Red Bell Pepper slices, garlic and onion.

  5. Add to food processon: Chickpeas, gradually.

  6. Pulse until smooth.
