Recipe Ingredients for Basic Easy Chili

1 lb lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 tsp chopped garlic
15 oz kidney bean
28 oz crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1 pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Basic Easy Chili

  1. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in pot on stove, slowly, so that no additional oil is necessary

  2. Add kidney beans, tomatoes, and water and combine.

  3. Stir spices, seasonings, salt and pepper into chili.

  4. Simmer on low for 1 hour, checking every 20 minutes.
