Recipe Ingredients for basic chili

2 portions lean ground beef
1 medium onion
1 bell pepper
1 jalapeno pepper
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes
2 T tomato paste
1 T olive oil
2 T chili powder
2 3/4 cups cooked kidney beans
3 cups chicken broth

Recipe Directions for basic chili

  1. cook beef, drain

  2. cook onion and peppers

  3. add chili powder, pepper and some cumin

  4. add tomatoes and broth

  5. cook for a while

  6. add beans, cook longer

  7. serve by itself, over rice, or over pasta.
