Recipe Ingredients for Basic Brownies

1/2 cup carrots, grated
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder

Recipe Directions for Basic Brownies

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. 2. Line 9" square baking pan with foil, coat with non-stick cooking spray.

  3. 3. In a bowl, mix butter into cocoa until smooth.

  4. 4. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

  5. 5. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder until combined.

  6. 6. Spread in pan.

  7. 7. Bake 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.

  8. 8. Cool 10 minutes.
