Recipe Ingredients for Basic Beef Stew

1 lb. potatoes
3 lb. beef roast
1 lb. carrots
1 lb. celery
1 lb. onions
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water

Recipe Directions for Basic Beef Stew

Cut into large sections all the vegetables and line on the bottom of your slow cooker (a 6 qt. size), rub the salt and pepper on the roast and set on top and add water. Set the slow cooker to a low heat and cook for at least 10 hours.
