A base curry sauce that I pre-prepare and freeze in batches. Use to create most curries of your choice.

Recipe Ingredients for Base Curry Sauce

20 g green chilli
300 g onion
35 g butter
15 g corn oil
5 cloves garlic
400 g tomato
6 tspn curry
2 tspn honey
1 tspn sugar
1/2 tspn salt

Recipe Directions for Base Curry Sauce

  1. Chop & blend onion, garlic & chilis

  2. heat butter and oil in large skillet

  3. gently fry onion mix and curry spices for approx 10 minutes

  4. add salt, honey and sugar

  5. fry until onion loses its sharp flavour

  6. blend tomotes smooth and add to pan

  7. mix and simmer for approx 20 minutes
