Recipe Ingredients for Basboosa

16 tbsp Light Stick
48 serving Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
2 medium Egg, Whole
2 tsp Baking Soda
6 oz Fat Free Strawberry
1 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
4800 grams(4800 g) Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Recipe Directions for Basboosa

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix 1 cup flour, 2 tbsp baking soda, and 1 cup of sugar.

  3. Add in 1 cup melted butter and mix.

  4. Add 1 cup yogurt and mix well.

  5. Add in 2 eggs and mix until all lumps are gone.

  6. Pour in to a baking pan.

  7. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. While baking, heat 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar with 2 tsp of vanilla extract to make syrup.

  9. When cake is golden brown, take it out of the oven and let it cool for five minutes. Then, pour syrup over it.
