Good soup for a cold day Serve with yogurt or sour cream

Recipe Ingredients for Barley and lentil Aash

1 c parsley, chopped
1 c cilantro, chopped
1 c dill, chopped
1/2 c garbanzo beans
1/2 c black beans
1/2 c barley
1/2 c lentils
12 c water
2 T flour
1 t salt

Recipe Directions for Barley and lentil Aash

  1. soak beans over night, cook for one hour the next morning in plenty of water. drain.

  2. cook lentils and barley in the 15 c water for half an hour.

  3. Then add everything except flour

  4. Bring to a boil

  5. Put on lowest heat and cook for 1-2 hours

  6. add a little cold water to the flour and stir

  7. add to soup and stir, until thickened.

  8. enjoy
