Recipe Ingredients for Barbie's Best Buttermilk Pancakes

1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons whole milk
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons toasted wheat germ

Recipe Directions for Barbie's Best Buttermilk Pancakes

  1. Measure dry ingredients in bowl.

  2. Melt the butter and set aside.

  3. Beat egg, add milk and stir a bit. Add egg/milk mixture to dry ingredients. Add butter then beat batter until smooth but not too much. At the last minute, fold wheat germ into batter, do not beat or over stir. You may need to add more milk.

  4. Fry these up on a griddle and serve warm. These are a hearty pancake and I would serve these as a main course. This may serve up to 4 people, though I have it counted for 2.
