Tasty sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy.

Recipe Ingredients for Barbara's Sausage Gravy

1 lb. sausage, ground, cooked, drained and crumbled
2 cups skim milk
8 tbsp. flour, all purpose
1 tbsp. Smart Balance
3 cubes bouillon, beef, crushed

Recipe Directions for Barbara's Sausage Gravy

  1. In saucepan,on medium heat, melt Smart Balance. In a bowl mix skim milk and flour, wisking until smooth. Add to saucepan, add crushed beef bouillon cubes, whisk to mix well. On medium heat, add well drained, cooked sausage meat. Cook until starts to come to a low boil, turn down to low and stir, while letting it thicken.

  2. Remove from heat, add lots of black ground pepper, to taste. Serve over split hot buttermilk biscuits.
