Recipe Ingredients for Barbara's Quiche Lorraine

1 pie crust, refrigerated, prepared
4 oz. Swiss Cheese, reduced fat
1/4 cup onion, minced
1 1/2 cups Swiss Chard, chopped
2 large eggs
1/2 cup egg substitute
2 cups Half and Half, fat free
1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese, part-skim, shredded
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/3 tsp. pepper, cayenne

Recipe Directions for Barbara's Quiche Lorraine

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place pie crust in pie plate, prick bottom with a fork. Sprinkle bacon bits, cheese and onion on pie crust. Beat eggs slightly, add remaining ingredients and whisk together. Pour into pie crust. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees and bake 30 minutes longer or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.

  2. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
