A "Banoffee" Remake with a touch of color in the base - use half a teaspoon of pastry color in the cake mixture. I used red and the base went fuchsia! ADORABLE yet TASTY!

Recipe Ingredients for Banoffee Rosa

1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
0.25 cup Whole Wheat Flour
50 grams Cane Sugar
0.5 tsp Baking Powder
1 serving Banana Bread Weight Control Instant Oatmeal
2 medium banana Bananas
6 tbsp Dulce de Leche
100 grams Custard
4 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
2 large Egg, White
5 tsp Becel Light Margarine

Recipe Directions for Banoffee Rosa

  1. 2 bowls needed.

  2. Mix flour,baking powder,sugar and oatmeal in 1st bowl.

  3. On the second,whisk with a spoon 1/2 cup of milk,1 tspoon of vanilla extract,the eggs and the butter until an even mixture is made.

  4. Poor the ingredients of the 2nd bowl onto the 1st and mix them well until it gets thick and reminds you of a cake paste.

  5. Bake for 12-16 minutes in preheated oven in 175 degrees (celcium)

  6. Prepare the custard mixing the custard powder,a teaspoon of vanilla extract with the milk and whisking really well for 5 min.

  7. Let the base cool off a little.

  8. Heat 4 tablespoons of dulce de leche and spread them on top of the base.

  9. Cut the bananas in thin slices and put them on top of the dulce de leche.

  10. Put the custard on top of it and let it cool off on the fridge for about an hour.

  11. Heat the remaining dulce de leche and gently pour on top of the custard. - You can alternatively sprinkle dark chocolate drops - the darker the better! enjoy!
